What We Do

Culinary Arts InstituteStudents learn how to select and prepare different courses and full meals using simple and advanced techniques. Classes take place in a fully-equipped commercial kitchen.

At the Crestview High School Culinary Institute, visiting chefs from different schools such as Keiser College and the International Culinary Schools at the Art Institutes in Jacksonville present their skills for students to experience real-life from a professional chef.   These visiting chefs have a sponsorship from the Food Network

Crestview Culinary students attend ProStart state competitions each year and placed third overall for the 2009-2009 school year.  One of their students, Jennifer Wright, placed first in state in the edible centerpiece segment of the competition.

Students in the Crestivew Culinary Institute serve lunch in the faculty dining room for faculty, staff and assorted community groups.  They also cater small, medium and large events at the school or in the community.  Along with all the services that the Crestiew Culinary Institute instructors, they also create speciality cakes for those in the community.

In all that the culinary institute do, they also practice sustainable and green choices whenever possible.
